colonelsanders Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) Hi there, I bought a Declan IR and have been trying to set this up with no real luck. It is made me not even feel like playing DCS as I cannot set it up. Is the more expensive Track IR brand easy to setup? If so I will probably just do that as I am too frustrated trying to set it up with the Declan. If I save a config and stop it, and then when I restart it and it will be in a separate position. That is one issue. And the other it is I cannot get it to be able to view all the cockpit properly, and if I can, I have to twist my neck too much. I have tried the curves and they're either either too sensitive or not enough so I can see properly. I am using the OpenTrack, the other one (FaceTrackNoIR) doesn't seem any easier to setup. Should I just buy the TrackIR instead I am too frustrated and unable to set the Declan up and can't even play DCS for like over a month after switching to IR tracking. Or maybe I just don't know how to set it up properly but it is doing my head in :( Thank you. Edited October 17, 2020 by colonelsanders

If you have it positioned in a relatively normal way, on top of a PC monitor at a desktop viewing distance, it likely won’t need any adjustments at all. I will try and give Delan a few more tries but if it's still unsuccessful I might just have to plunge and buy the TrackIR instead. So far Delan was a waste of money and too difficult to setup, well more so when it doesn't seem to be the same position and having to re-calibrate each time I restart it. I'm not going to bash Delan as it could be a tech issue or a user problem.

I'm not going to bash Delan as it could be a tech issue or a user problem.When I got my Delan I watched a YT video on how to set it up. (probably just first Google hit and and Cap from GR). Made sure there were no lights turned on behind me. Fiddled with curves. Spent less than 30 minutes. No issues. Later I have tuned my curves some more If you can't seem to look everywhere, change degrees from 90 to 180 etc. Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk
