Endy Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I think the placement of blue objectives was a bit off. From what can be seen people have problems identifying proper targets. Also, it seems like more communication is needed on the blue side - proper targets for CAS need to be established and F15's have to try to support their A10 flights a bit more. While they were dogfighting us to the north the A10s were getting raped by Su25 for example. I also wonder why you guys thought raping an empty red FARP with CBUs was a good idea if it's wasn't a target of value, especially once you saw it was defended... Ground forces might be a bit unbalanced too. I'd go a bit less tanks like t80, t90, m1a1, and instead give both sides more IFV's. They can then be also killed easier by A10's using guns and without using excessive weaponry as currently doing gun runs on the aforementioned or dropping CBUs on a spread out tank squad doesn't work too well.

That´s because we were confused about what exactly our target was. The briefing said we were to destoy an enemy HQ, but upon ingressing we didn´t see anything that looked like an HQ. There were a bunch of supermarkets around that looked a little "off", as if they were placed there by hand, so we thought that might be our target and dropped some bombs on them. Since that didn´t seem to do anything, we decided to go for the FARP that was right next to it, thinking it might be the HQ. Since we dropped our "real" bombs on the supermarkets already (and since two out of us three needed to emergency jettison their weapons) we had to try it with CBUs. - Two miles of road lead nowhere, two miles of runway lead everywhere - Click here for system specs

33rd_Havoc Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 It also wouldn't go amiss to place some kind of "markerunits" next to primary targets like a HQ, so we can take a look in tacview if we hit our target's. At the moment it looks like we are throwing our bombs off in the fields. Edit: The text message trigger is already nice, so we get the info that our primary mission is accomplished but you dont get this info in tacview for debriefing.

It represented a danger to us and other allied flights because of manpads, shilkas and ZU-23s. So it was a valuable target and not empty. That's why I attacked it. Shapper Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Another issue from yesterday is the FARP services. I had zero response to my calls to replace the NVGs with the HMS. Fuel request also went unanswered. The only thing that worked was the request to change ordnance. I noticed that both FARPs sitting next to each other have the exact same frequency. Try changing one of them to something else and see if that has any effect. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
