Despite poor climb rate, fuel loads and reduced range it's not a problem for simulation with rather tight scenery and I believe this is the reason why ED has focused on CAS missions in first DCS modules. The fighters may come later after developing new engine implementing wider range of terrain.

Then are Ah-64 and A-10 actually developed over the old TFCSE engine?

<GGTharos>, thanks you for the info!! I've read somewhere that the latest A-10A blocks are able to carry LANTRIN pod's - it would be nice if we could use them in DCS.

Regards!!

TFCSE / LO engine - yes.

I suspect the author had a barrow to push, but I posted that mainly out of surprise - 4 minutes 45 to get from 2000m to 6000m is a long time....

Cheers.

Let's take it this way: think about new DCS as resigning to other unit. :D

Military aviators can't choose which aircraft they want to fly. Only difference is that they are resigning to a proper units regarding their skills.

Im not resigning from Su-27 to any other units, u have to kill me or steal my Vodka.
