Hello to all the cake slice driver !

I'm writing this post today to bring awareness to a wonderful news for our mirage, the devs sneakedly added the CADR AR mode for our mirage VTB screen

This view is activated by putting the CADR switch in the AR position at the bottom of the VTB screen, just left of the luminosity wheels.

In this view, our aircraft is moved to the center of the screen, with the top of the screen, still being our plane's 12 o'clock. For the moment in this mode, we don't have the TDC available, so it is only useful for waypoints and DO positions.

You will of course still see the detected contacts at the front of the aircraft.

This is a photo Razbam showed some time ago. The videos are coming from a Mirage 2000C military sim RB had access to when they started working with the AdA. You can see the CADR AR in two of the video icons and in both, it looks like the TDC is missing and the TDC position from self or waypoint is missing too. I might be wrong on this tho.

So there you go, that's all I know on this :).

Nice, hope we will hear more about it from Razbam.

Should be useful coupled with DO to help with reattack after a pump/abort. And could also help for SA.

Kinda hard to follow up new features implementation and bug fixing sometimes on the Mirage, as change logs provided with Open Beta update are not always listing all the stuff included in the update.

What does "CADR AR" meant to do, help to do, etc?

I think the TDC cursor is visible in the 101159 frame (third last) as a cross below center circle. And same way to the right from that same position in the 093950 frame (fifth last).

As said Steph21, it's would help with a DO or ad RDO when pumping, or to know your position relative to a waypoint that's behind you.

And those two frames are in CADR AV mode, so the normal radar display.

Just to make things clear. This snuck itself in and was meant to wait until it was more complete. So apologies for it getting out and not being entire finished.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but is there a keybind for this switch?  It's useful in the latest update with the GCI datalink for trailing contacts, but clicking it in the middle of canyon flying is tedious at best!
