No description for CAP enroute task in manual

So, in what way is it different to, say, the search then engage enroute task?

Also, when using AWACS, is it necessary to set the Radar Using option (to USE FOR CONTINUOUS SEARCH)? If not, does it make any difference?

The CAP task tends to be very aggressive and will often cause the AI flight to fly far off their flight path to attack targets they have detected. It's most useful for when you want a flight to attack everything it sees in a general direction. I use it most often for enemy alert flights that I want to take off and immediately attack.

Search and Engage In Zone gives you a lot more specific control over where the flight will engage enemies, and you can specify what kind of enemies as well. I find this task to be the most useful one for CAP flights.
