Now that it appears that Lock-on: Flaming Cliffs will be the definitive Su-25 sim (at least until around 2015), I was wondering if anyone could produce a new 3d model for the B-8 rocket pod?

I've held off asking until now, but couldn't help myself ;)

Modeling that requires a design approch for the poly constrain ie it's not cut and slash object for example if there is a number of holls, than you could work with exact poly configuration around the hole and than array it with 360 degrees and than move on to the next set of holes and bingo...

Anyways it's not exactly that, it's more like knowing how to, and is the way to do it,, where experience is the key.

Im in the midle of the same situ so please don't count on me to make b-8, it's not hard to do nor it is cut and slash.

This does belong to 3D discussion and I'll think of some tning later to suport it.

I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

Well, what i posted earlier is pretty much the finished thing. Im just unsure on how to unwrap it to skin it :\ more specifically, the inside of the tubes

EDIT: I think i figured it out

Looks great!!

Just thought I'd post a tip of mapping the inside of the tubes. If you just put a sylindrical map on it it should be good, like a UVW Map and select sylindrical, and then set the heigt with and lenght to the same as u used for the other mapping. If you dont know what you used, just put in a big number. Then select unwrap and place it somewhere on the texture. If you are lucky u should be able to save the map and just use it on the other ones so you dont have to map each one seperately.
