Predator-78 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a mission where an AI-piloted F-16 should perform a SEAD mission. After inserting a SAM antenna without a launcher on the map, the Viper follows the assigned path but does not attack the unit. In the Advances (Waypoint Actions) section of the Viper, I set the following parameters ---> Perform Attack ----> Attack Group ---> unit name to attack. Having equipped the Viper with two AGM-88 missiles, I enter AUTO in the '' weapons '' section. Unfortunately I cannot understand why the Viper does not attack as soon as it enters the threat area of the SAM antenna ... who can help me? Thanks CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz - DDR4 64,0 GB - MSI RTX3080ti - Win 11 64bit
Grimes Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 A good test for this would be to jump into any aircraft and see if the radar is emitting. If its not then that means the F-16 is unable to detect it with its RWR or fire AGM-88s at the target. Could try adding the other parts of the sam site to see it will turn its radars on and allow the F-16 to attack it. Could also try giving the F-16 a missile like the maverick. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Predator-78 Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 Eventually I managed to get it to work. It was enough to delete all the units designated for the sead and put them back in the editor. The inserted SAM station worked, activated and was detected by the RWR of the two Vipers.
