Invader Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Propeller wind sound is missing when engine is running on ground and aircraft is not moving. Currently I can hear wind sound outside cockpit only in the air.
ED Team btd Posted November 22, 2020 ED Team Posted November 22, 2020 Please attach video of what you mean, of how it should be. Wind in the cockpit with closed canopy. Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
Invader Posted November 22, 2020 Author Posted November 22, 2020 To be precise there is a wind sound when canopy is opened with pilot head outside in a wind stream. This is nice and realistic effect but is available only when the airplane is airborne. Therefore when airplane is on ground with engine running there is no wind sound but it should be either because of propeller moving air like in a real life. So I suggest when airplane is airborne wind rush effect to be stronger and when on ground with engine running a tad weaker.
ED Team btd Posted November 24, 2020 ED Team Posted November 24, 2020 The wind rush effect on the ground is very noticeable too if you increase the RPM. But yes, it is almost silent with Idle RPM. In this case, I can make it more noticeable. Many thanks for your report  1 Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
Slegawsky Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 @btd Can you spill the beans about the radial engines being finished? Its particularly annoying when flying supposedly released A-8. Many thanks.

Slegawsky Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 I was hoping to get some insight into development of stress- overheat-damage model of the radial engines. Particularly with A-8 being released state it looks pessimistic at the moment. Thanks
ED Team btd Posted November 25, 2020 ED Team Posted November 25, 2020 Sorry, don't know. I'm in sounds and music :) Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
Slegawsky Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 It has been mentioned elsewhere but the sound of "rolling on the tarmac" is nice to have, however pilots ear with helmet on should not pick it up.

Invader Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 (edited) What I meant was squeal of the original shoe brakes if it was any in reality. Somebody more familiar can chime in. I think it would be useful to have audible feedback when we use brakes. Edited December 3, 2020 by Invader
ED Team btd Posted December 4, 2020 ED Team Posted December 4, 2020 Sorry, but I can't add the sound just because it will be useful I have the audio recordings from the cockpit. Alas, there is no indication of braking by sound Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
