Having 32 GB RAM, opening Caucasus map in ME, and then opening Syria in ME, Caucasus appears to be flushed from RAM. (when looking in TaskManager DCS.exe RAM usage, it drastically shrinks, and also when then loading Caucasus again, it has quite some loading time.)

please keep map/terrain-data (the .surface5 file I guess ?) stored in free RAM as long as RAM isn't in full use!

DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.)

I don't think it's a good idea, it's hard to make such a system "smart" and the current behavior is better for everyone who doesn't have 32GB of RAM. It's better that unloading take place at a well-defined boundary, such as a loading screen, than have to do it mid-mission when it suddenly turns out there's not enough RAM.
