Uxi Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Was going to try to do some Instant Action Case I's last night with Supercarrier for the F-14B again and noticed after the break that my wings were not coming forward in automatic nor could I manually sweep them forward. I looked and saw CADC and wing sweep lights lit. I quit and restarted the mission and same thing, lit at the start. Exited and restarted DCS and same thing. When I shut down and started up this morning, was back to normal with no failure. Are there random system failures in the IA missions or is this a glitch or something? r4y30n Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I had the same issue in that mission and found that hitting the master reset as soon as I started cleared it up.
IronMike Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Funny. It may be connected to set command, which we use to set up an aircraft in a certain configuration on mission start. It's somewhat broken, as the wings should be swept in a case 1 command config. Likely, since they don't sweep, it causes some CADC failure, which is reset by the master reset button. We don't understand till this day why the set command doesnt work as it should regardings wings sweep, everything else works. I fear it will have to be worked around by pressing the master reset button for a while till we find a solution. Uxi Posted November 23, 2020 Author Posted November 23, 2020 Thanks! The most interesting part for me was that DCS seemed to "remember" it even after closing and restarting the program. Some sort of cache or environmental variable? I've probably done that mission 50 times, usually doing a trap, cat launch and second trap, since the Supercarrier came out and never ran into it before. Prior to the big update, the wings were always in auto at start. Since the update, every start in the A has had the wings back already.
