Basic query re selecting units

Hi, I want to move or select units and waypoints, but when I try and left click them, nothing happens...what am I doing wrong please?

Does the mouse respond at all? (Can you left click any other buttons or menu?)

 

If not:

1. Alt tab out of DCS
   
2. Right click the dcs icon and select 'close'
   
3. Click 'no' on the 'are you sure prompt'
   
4. You should have regained mouse control now

Hi Sirrah, yes, the mouse works fine, I can left and right click on things, no problem. I only started using the ME recently and wondered why I could not select units or waypoints, so it has been a thing for a while certainly through several updates. I am wondering if I am simply missing a step in a process? For example, what is the process to move a unit once placed? I have the ME open and the mission loaded, can see all the units, waypoints etc. The only way to "select" a unit is to go via the task bar on the left and use the unit list icon to bring the list up, I can then scroll through, click on the one I want and its selected. The edit screen where you can name, change payload etc is on the right. If I now try and select the object with left mouse, what happens is a soon as I click on it, the unit list etc disappears and the icon which was yellow goes blue..... is this the correct process ? I should add that in the above described process, I can easily change names, payloads , radio frequencies, add actions etc, so the mouse is working fine and so is the ME
