Lee1 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 My fantastic wife wants to upgrade my monitor for Christmas. What 34 inch monitor would you recommend for a GTX 1070? Thanks
ㅤStalker Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Hi Lee. I have one of the cheaper 34" ultra-wide monitors on the market, the MSI Optix MAG341CQ: https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG341CQ It's a fairly basic VA panel with the 3440x1440 resolution and a refresh rate of 100hz. One thing to note is that it has no internal speakers and the base does not allow for much adjustment. That being said, I love this monitor and have had zero issues with it. I run mostly high settings in DCS with a 1070ti. Frame rates are less than stellar, especially in places like Syria. However 35 - 40fps works for me. If you're looking for a reasonably priced ultra-wide, this might be one to consider. Lurker Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Yeah I would not go for a 4K monitor with that graphics card. Your FPS will suffer, a lot. Specs: Win10, i5-13600KF, 32GB DDR4 RAM 3200XMP, 1 TB M2 NVMe SSD, KFA2 RTX3090, VR G2 Headset, Warthog Throttle+Saitek Pedals+MSFFB2 Joystick.
