rikietje Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Good morning! I've been, for a while now, encountering this issue with my VR kit in DCS and I hope someone here could help me out. I'm running the oculus CV1 on my i7-7700k and GTX 1080 with 32GB of RAM, dcs installed on an NVME .2 SSD (evo 970). When in DCS, sometimes but at least once or twice a session my FPS in VR will just drop to 1 or 2 FPS and the game will stutter horrendously, only rendering the screen in front of me. Usually if i take of my headset for a few seconds, and repeat this, the framerate will return back to normal. I'm currently using the oculus tray tool and I've already set ASW to forced 45HZ but this doesn't seem to fix the problem. When this happens during a dogfight in MP it's really terrible because I can't do anything until the framerate resets. I hope anyone here has a clue in which way I could go to hopefully fix this. Thx!
Flappie Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Hi. Have you tried in "pancake" mode to check if you still get stutters? (I mean, with a monitor instead of VR) Please attach the following: dcs.log ( C:\Users\your-name\Saved Gmes\DCS...\Logs\dcs.log ) dxdiag.log (here's how to make one) launch "cmd", paste the folowing command line, hit enter, and copy-paste the result: wmic pagefile list /format:list The result of step 3 should look a bit like this: ---
