SUBS17 Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 The idea of setting up the comms through an actual comms panel in the pit would add to the immersion. Likewise IFF codes etc. If its possible to make a panel accessible by 3rd party software then it would be one more area of the pit thats fully functional. Likewise voice activated control of the wingmen, awacs and tower. All of this is possible but I think it would require alot of work between ED and companys that make TS.etc Lets face it technology is reaching the point where voice activated wingmen/tower awacs etc Will be the way it should be done, likewise teamspeak will be a standard form of comms for MP. Might as well make such features a standard means of communication for the game. Guest ruggbutt Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 My squad uses the following ventrilo settings: The ventrilo has ch AWACS and in this ch we have subchs which donate the flights... So when you connect to ventrilo server you get into your flight ch where you use normal PTT to talk to this ch only. Then you can setup PTT to AWACS which is set so that its logic is set to transmit to the AWACS ch and all its subchs -> everyone can hear you regardless in what flight ch they are in. If you need to switch ch, you set extra button for walking thru the ch list. It works really well... Can you email me w/specifics on this?
