I was flying an Su33 mission that had that big missile in the middle pylon of the plane, was using itto destroy a ship. I for the life of mecant figure out how to fire it. I can do it in theEasy Radar mode but that is cheating in my opinion, you justfire away. Howdo you really fire it. Is there a button, or somethingi dont know?

Activate your radar with the "i" key... then you can fire :D

You must predefine the target in the mission editor ie. use the "Targeting" menu and designate your target (ship) with it.

 

In the mission you will see the designator in the hud, press "I" and wait untill you enter the firing range.

 

IMHO KH-41 is really boring and its method of deploying is questionable at least.

 

Will this be addressed in FC ie. some changes made? I understand SU33 has no AG/AS radar but..how can it then use such a missile?

That's very simple. The real Su-33 cannot deploy this missile.

 

It was demonstrated with a mock-up of this weapon but the system never came to be.

Yeah, I too thought that whole SU33 & KH41 thing was strange..

I wouldn't mind if they had just removed it in FC. Afterall, we want this to be a SIM, right? :twisted:

Well, yeah. On either other hand it's so hard to cheat with it that it's not a big deal ... S77 once put it on Su-33's as an 'experimental weapon' during the campaign and us eagler drivers had fun trying to shoot'em all out of the sky before they hit the carrier.
