BUG OR CORRECT? SPI bearing/distance in HUD indicating true instead of magnetic bearing?

I noticed that the SPI bearing indication in the HUD (bottom right) is indicating true instead of magnetic. Is this a bug or correct? 

 

I tried to find more information on this through all the F16 manuals I have but no info on it.

It's not supposed to do either. It's supposed to show relative turn, e.g. 00 for straight ahead, 01L for ten degrees left, 17R for 170 degrees right, etc.

Yeah, I read that in the MLU 3 manual too but thought that maybe the DCS Viper is based on different/more updated software
