WesterlySix Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 So attempting to launch some AGM65, in A/G, Master Arm On, Selecting the MAV, but inventory is still saying standby. I have watched the tutorials on AGM Launch and with those initial steps the MAV is not in standby and they are able to slave to the JTAC Laser. What am I missing? Watched WAGs tutorial - his never goes into STNBY and Chuck's Guide doesn't tell me why or how to come out of STNBY?
rob10 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 When you 1st select the Mav E it has a 30 second warmup. Is it possible this is what you're seeing? Mav F has an even longer cool down period. Can't remember what it shows on stores page during these periods.
Swift. Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 If you open the mav video feed (pressing the MAV button again), does it show correctly. I think thats needed to start the 30 second count down. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
imacken Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Things regularly change a lot with the Hornet, and the videos are out of date before you know it! At the moment, the STBY doesn't change to RDY until you have a lock, AFAICS. It never comes out and I roll past the targets even pointing the noise on them. 36 minutes ago, rob10 said: When you 1st select the Mav E it has a 30 second warmup. As soon as I hit the MAV once than twice, no countdown starts at all. Right DDI has stores and still shows STANBY.
imacken Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Can you post a track? The countdown doesn't show on stores page. Shows on HUD. Saved it but cannot find Track folder in Eagle Dynamics' Program folders. I am sure it is there but still searching. The few tracks I have, I can see they are in a DCS folder and not Eagle Dynamics. imacken Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 OK, so the first problem with your track is that you didn't uncage the MAV. This should be a simple "U" or even having it slaved to my HOTAS.? I do see the CAGE in the Left MFD/DDI but no luck uncaging it.
imacken Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) You have to make the Mav DDI SOI, then press the uncage button. Then the Mav will lock on target and you’ll see the RDY status showing.
