Svsmokey Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 This crash should not have happened . The Collings foundation was very highly regarded for its professionalism , and the PIC had more B17 experience than anyone . Still , the pilot made multiple errors , the foundation was unable to adequately maintain the aircraft , and a general sense of complacency regarding passenger safety resulted in tragedy . It may be time to re-examine the "keeping them flying via passenger revenue stream " business model , and to reconsider whether keeping such a large , complex aircraft safely flying at all is realistic for a private organisation . Sad , really , as no one loves the sound of radials more than I ! 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
