CommandT Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 ED, I am not sure if I'm alone, I assume not, but I have 4k ultra-wise monitor and reading the tiny text on mission briefs in a small window in the middle of the screen with the rest of my screen taken up by empty space is really annoying. I mean I always end up straining my eyes. That aside, I think the mission briefing experience before a mission starts is just terrible. Partly because the window and text within it is too small like I mentioned, but also because mission briefs should be far more engaging and interactive. We should have an interactive map next to the text, perhaps with parts of the text in boxes around specific areas of the map where they are applicable or whatever - basically anything is better than what we have. I mean all the talented mission designers create pdf's and bypass the DCS mission briefings completely, probably for this reason. I believe we should really stray towards an interactive and more dynamics, and much easier to read, mission briefs where we actually want to spend time thinking about the mission we will fly and where it should really help us digest the information we need. In the current state mission briefs are a chore I feel. Better UI and mission briefs are on my wishlist. 2
