D4n Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Shouldn't RWR run BIT-test everytime the pilot switches RWR on? .trk https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Chehv2ue-eD3yhJQSwmmGABxDvnsvVnj/view?usp=sharing (I landed too roughly, then RWR stopped indicating every emitting radar around me on Persian Gulf. I switched RWR off and on again, but still shows "N", not "B" for bit failure.) Dagger71 Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Since you ignored ED and RAZBAM about posting external files, can't see your track, but IF the RWR or any system with a Built-In Test is so severally damaged that the BIT can't even start then you would not see the B. 1

Why not? The N could be the default screen just prior to BIT. If BIT doesn't run, N indicates complete failure. Edited December 31, 2020 by Dagger71 1

Happy new year. 2. please ask your Harrier SMEs if this is indeed the case, if A) BIT-test is run everytime the pilot/mechanic switches RWR on, and B) if "N" would show up (in center of RWR) even if the RWR BIT-test fails. Thank you!
