Archer943 Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Hello, New user here who's just setting up DCS. I've managed to change the User Theme music which is working fine, but I'm having an issue with the custom background image. I've set the system resolution setting to the same as my desktop, but for some reason DCS zooms the picture in really tight. I've attached screenshots. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong that's changing the size of the background image?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Rudel_chw Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 probably it's the 1.5 GUI scale factor that you are using .. use a photo of 1707 pixels wide. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Archer943 Posted January 1, 2021 Author Posted January 1, 2021 Thanks Rudel, changing the 1.5 GUI scale factor to 1 fixed it. It's weird because I always had that setting at 1 in 2.5.5, must have switched when I just updated to 2.5.6. Thanks for your help!!

Thank You Hello, I use a DCS feature called "User Theme", for it to work you must setup a folder structure at "/Saved Games/DCS/MissionEditor/" (if you dont have a MissionEditor folder, create it using Windows), like this one: 1) "ME" is the folder where the images go. The name of each image is fixed, be sure to type them exactly as shown. The image format should be PNG: 2) The Theme music goes on this other folder: MainMenuIn plays just once, the MainMenuLoop plays over & over. I use the same sound file for both .. it is fairly large at almost 23 MB because it consist of several songs pieced together. It has to be in OGG format. 3) Once you have the Theme folder structure ready, you copy it to /Saved Games/DCS, like this: 4) The Theme is activated on DCS -> Options -> Misc 5) Unfortunately, DCS only allows a single User Theme at a time,so I opted to use a Mod Manager to swap Themes as I pleased, like this: Best regards, Eduardo Edited March 10, 2021 by Rudel_chw 3 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Phantom88 Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 (edited) Thank You very much Rudel,I really appreciate your help. **Edit** quick update** Hello Rudel,Thank you for the detailed pics and info,Because of this I was able to upload custom wallpapers and soundtrack loops into DCS. But for some strange reason I couldn't do it through my DCS Saved Games Folder?I'm guessing because my DCS is Not installed in my default "C Drive"? I also added The Classic Soundtracks from the Great Jane's Sims from yrs gone by....brings back awesome memories Edited March 11, 2021 by Phantom88 Added New Info 2 Patrick
