Hello to you
I'm trying to remove all DCS and all modules in order to format the hard drive and I do not want to lose the number of times of installations. But I can not find the the file that allows us to remove safely and correctly and is called "protection demo project console"
I tried searching it all on my computer and did not find it at all - how do I remove it without this file?
Thanks

You no longer have a limited amount of allowed installs, nowadays the licenses are binded to your ED user acount and you can install them as much as you need to.

Remember to save your /saved games/dcs/ folder to preserve your settings, you may also want to backup your DCS program in order to avoid having to download it all over again.

Finally, you can re-install windows without having to format the disk, that would avoid the need for backing up.

My God,  😲   I probably haven't been here long !!! Are you sure ?
This is a very happy message.😀
Regarding the rest of what you  say I need to replace the drive with a larger drive and move to windows 10 so I need a full and new installation

So wait, if this is the case, I do not need to remove all the modules from the old drive at all?  Or  because it's a new drive I have to remove?

Yes, I'm very sure 🙂 ... search a bit on the Forum to gather confirmation, there are plenty of threads about people re-installing DCS either on a new drive or on a new PC.

If you are replacing drives, then you don't need to delete anything on your current drive, keep the whole drive intact to use as backup. If your PC has an available drive bay, prepare a Windows installation pendrive, install the new disk, and disconnect the old drive (to prevent writing on it unintendly). Install Windows 10 on the new drive and once finished, turn off the PC and re-connect the old drive ... you may have to enter the BIOS of the PC to re-select which is the correct boot drive.
