AGM-65 Area Track Mode not stored when switching stations

Hello,

I am not sure if this is intended or a bug, but if you select Area Track Mode on the WPN page of the Maverick with the OSB or TMS-Left and change the station back and forth, the Maverick is no more in Area Track Mode but in COH (Cold over Hot) mode. COH and HOC modes are stored within the stations.

I would expect the Area Track Mode to be stored in the stations as well. This is necessary to quickly assign two targets, one for each station, with the TGP in PRE-Mode with Auto-Handoff. Right now the second station must be put back into area mode after the first shot before the second target can be handed off by the TGP. As the SOI needs to be switched between TGP page and WPN page, this is not very handy. A small track for reproduction is attached.

Thank you and best regards.

Auto handoff is supposed to configure the missiles appropriately. A point track handoff from TGP should configure a centroid track missile. It should even pick the correct polarity to match TGP so it can do the image matching second step of the handoff. It will also manage the FOV of the missile, often setting it narrow for better handoff.

I don't know if the TGP can auto handoff into missile area track but if it did it would do so from TGP area mode track, not point.

The SOI should remain TGP through an auto handoff attack. There's no need to make WPN SOI because it's all handled for you. The idea is that you can designate with TGP SOI, fire, and repeat for the next missile. Only with handoff disabled (AUTO/MAN set to MAN) should WPN SOI automatically occur as when doing other non-handoff attacks (e.g. EO PRE from FCR track).
