@joojoo technically this would just be a static unit, preferably one you can place statics on, however when a ship is in port they do not use their anchors and instead are “tied up” to the dock, and ships rarely use anchors eg: when Liberty of the Seas is at a port like grand cayman where there is no true cruise terminal/dock the ship keeps her engines running (technically her engines are always running as they only power generators effectively making her engines just huge generators, as her propulsion system is electric) uses her propulsion to keep her relatively in the same place, However Cruise ships have been anchoring up due to the fact that they aren’t sailing with passengers due to covid and don’t need to run all of their engines as they don’t need as much power. Regardless it would be a nice Edition to see that but when and why would you use something like that at that point you might as well just not put the ship in the sim, but regular ships tied up would be nice for a port strike, but the extra ascetics aren’t necessary and frankly are pointless.

CVs do use their anchors a lot more than the rest of the CSG due to ports not having the capability/capacity or other reasons.  So the CV will anchor just off shore and take Liberty boats to and from shore, Haifa is one of those ports.

If you wanted to simulate the CV being anchored, it may just simply need a static object that obscures the model anchor and adds the chain disappearing into the water.

Yeah so it would be a similar situation to cruise ships at Grand Cayman where they have to ether anchor or use their engines to keep them in place, and then tenders come up and take passengers or sailors in the case of a CVN
