Hi, when I'm firing a APKWS rocket with a tpod, I locked a target with the TGP but when I fire the rocket it does not kit the target. I fired with the "L" indication. Is that the laser code must not be 1688(default)?

You can see (and change before engine start) the laser code for the rockets in your kneeboard. This must be the same, as the tpod laser code.

Also you can set the code for the rockets in the mission editor.

Harrier's laser code isn't 1688 by default. You need to input the code into the UCP. 1111 is an initialization code and it doesn't actually work.

Can it be said that the 1111 is not valid code, or that it is a valid code but doesn't permit any laser emission to happen?

The default in mission editor and so on in the quick missions etc the laser code is 1688. You can change it when on the ground using kneeboard, or you can go to planning when loading mission or open mission in mission editor and go to unit special tab and select there the codes for second, third and fourth numbers.

...and note  you can only change it on the kneeboard with ENGINES OFF..

EDIT: Sorry this was already mentioned above  🙂

LOL

So the Harrier is famous for its quick hot turnaround, meaning that you refuel and rearm that aircraft while it is running. Literally the pilot just lands, crew engage all over it and in few minutes you are ready to just take-off again.

But now....

Not just that you can not have wheel chocks in place if you have engine running as they can't be removed when engine is On, even when literally that is last thing the ground crew removes before you start taxiing away.

But that you can not ask ground crew to change the laser code in weapons with engine running, but you don't need to perform even the proper rearming etc.

Yes.... That Flathead screwdriver requires you to have engines OFF.

Like it would be totally fine that laser codes are changed on the rearming window, and it would always perform a rearming process to happen.
