Champ Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Hi everybody, first post and first question. Is there anybody working on a F15E? Tks for the answers.

SuperKungFu Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 meshfactory's models are nice and all, but it doesn't look accurate. For example, the VANO's F-14 i believe it originally derived from mesh factory, but they got the canopy shape wrong. Anyway, USSR_Gys has also made a nice looking F-15E and that is up to ED's standards. Probably won't be released for Lock On though [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

SuperKungFu Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 since the picture v1per picture is the original F-15E from mesh factory, I would assume its going to take some time and work for him to reduce the # of poly, get it skinned, damage model....etc before its ready for lock on. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The original poly count was 89,914, and that was with 2 big external tanks on the wings...in which i got rid of. It is probably around 75-85,000 now...I gotta check. The F-22 is still sitting on 59,231 polys without anything done to the body.:D
SuperKungFu Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 My suggestion for both planes is to compare it to an accurate layout and make any adjustments to mold it into the correct shape (if necessary) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
