hitman Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Just found this sim at the wally world and picked it up...I dont recall ever hearing if it has TIR4 support...anyone know if it does or not? Its got 60gigs of stuff to install, so Im holding off on installing it for a week.
hitman Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 I cant believe Ive been missing out on some of these sims! Look at the terrain detail. This is around Simferopol.
169th_Maverick Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 wow....I saw a ad for that in Flying Magazine I think....that is absolutely mind blowing!!! The ad had a ingame screen shot that was awesome too...is it pretty realistic? Worth the money you think?
hitman Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) Only the GA aircraft are worth flying in my opinion...the terrain looks pretty bad at high altitude, but at low altitude its unmatched. FSX doesnt even look or feel this good. The GA aircraft have full 3d cockpits, while the other aircraft have half-ass cockpits and 3d models. Im looking for better models, but yeah...it was worth it. Even better, theres a version of X-plane that is FAA certified for training. Ill post more pics when I have more time. OOH...the frame rates are fantastic! I cant judge the flight model, but the Cirrus The Jet feels pretty realistic in flight dynamics. Cockpit is all glass, too. :) Heres a half-ass SR-71 cockpit...looks not quite there, needs a lot of work, but it has a full 3d pit. My only gripes are the clouds arent volumetric, high altitude terrain, and some of the models that look half finished. Im searching for some payware aircraft that may be worth the money, since this sim was basically constructed for 3rd party addons only. Its not 6dof either. Edited August 6, 2008 by hitman_214th
