Mordant Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 (edited) Hello all, I have recently had many issues with MP crashes because DCS is on my hard drive. I have been trying to put DCS on my 128gb SSD Boot Drive instead of the more slow and larger 500gb HDD however I have been unsuccessful in creating enough space... One of the things that I want to try is deleting the 3D Objects Folder because it has 20gb of unknown files that could possible allow enough space to transfer DCS. 20gb seems like a lot of files to just thanos snap away, so I am very interested in what is actually in there. Because DCS uses a lot of 3D textures my first thought is that ironically DCS uses the 3D Objects folder, but I am not sure. Does anyone know? Is it safe to delete? I have only seen people say its for Microsoft Paint 3D, and I have never used MS Paint 3D so I dont think thats what its for... *note: the ansel folder has the same issue, i have no idea of its purpose but it takes 20gb of storage. Thats 40gb total if I can delete these folders. Thoughts? razo+r Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 On one hand, deleting something used by the application is never a good idea. On the other hand, what's the name of the folder that you are talking about?

Its a standard Windows folder apparently just I have no idea whats inside. Either way, I just opted for getting a new NVMe SSD so the issue is no longer an issue.
