dresoccer4 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 How does one delete a DL target after successfully eliminating it? In the example shown in the screenshot I: 1) selected the top most enemy diamond on the DL panel 2) slewed the shkval over it 3) blew it up 4) now I want to simply delete that target off the map so I can move on to the next one The only way I know how to delete targets is when the targeting mode is completely reset, which we obviously can't do now as we're in the middle of attacking a group of enemies. I want to simply delete the target I had just selected and blew up before moving on to the next one. Thanks! Volk. Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Select that data link target so it flashed on the ABRIS - then press Clear on the PRTz panel. You can't select stuff on the PRTz if your Shvkal's in use and you locked/lazed something, so you typically need to reset it first. There are workaround for this I've covered in a vid on data link targets. Flicking the DL switch off-on or the wingman/commander knob to off of course resets all data link targets, like you mentioned. 1 For Black Shark tutorials, visit my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-LgdvOGP3SSNUGVN95b8Bw

Seems very strange you can't delete or change targets unless the targeting system is completely off. you'd think they'd want to be able to switch between targets on the fly. Volk. Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Actually it makes perfect sense. If you've lased up a new target and your Shkval is pointing at something, then selecting a data link type would be telling it you wish to designate whatever the Shkval is looking at. Again there are workarounds, but the base logic of it is sound. For Black Shark tutorials, visit my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-LgdvOGP3SSNUGVN95b8Bw
BlackPixxel Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 You don't have to reset the Shkval for slewing to datalink targets or for deleting datalink targets, pressing the uncage button is enough. 1
