G2 and lack of performance in MP with Discord

Hi there since some days I have some problems with the G2, probably is configuration. In SP all is smooth and really nice, frametime of cpu at 12 15 ms and cpu at 10 12 ms, the problems starts when I go in multiplayer AND with Discord on. On that moment the GPU frametime go up till 30 50ms and all is stuttering. As soon I stop Discord all come back to normal.  Any guess ?

Sounds like a pretty straightforward cpu problem, what’s your processor?  What speed are you running it at?

Hi, I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with PBO. Why you speak about CPU ? Is the GPU framerate that become high. Never have this problem with the Rift S

I literally didn’t see those numbers before, but, I don’t have that issue running discord with my g2 on my specs

That's really strnge I know, never had this issue before.  The number of cpu with fpsvr are good, always around 30% if I remeber correctly. Could be a problem with the new Nvidia drivers ? I read that some fs2020 have had some problems with discord and old Nvidia drivers.

I’m on the latest driver from nvidia.

 

don’t get the percentage numbers confused... they are unhelpful...the frametimes are helpful, the spike in gpu frame times is odd, are you using video inside discord as well? Streaming perhaps, the gpu spike in frame time (30-50ms) you have is definitely the symptom but I don’t know why it is the case.

What happens when you load up discord in single player?

What are the rest of your system specs , and what have you set your page file to?

Good point, never tried Discord in SP, will do that and report.

mmm i'm not seeing an enormous difference between the perf times between SP and MP in GPU frame time when discord is present or not

Still want to try discord in SP but I have a problem with a trapeze view of menu and cockpit.... OMG an endless story,
