This past weekend I upgraded my computer. And I'm so very glad that I did. It's nothing fancy but I see a huge difference. I bought a new motherboard. ( A Asus B550-Prime). AMD Ryzen 7 3700Z CPU running 8 core 16 thread 4.4 GHZ. With a lighted RGB prism. I also upgraded the RAM 32 GB RGB memory. The difference in. I have two AMD RX580 graphics cards in a crossfire configuration. The difference in performance is great. Now I can really enjoy DCS. I'm looking forward to flying the DCS vibes.

Good to hear buddy.
Remember that RGB gives 1 fps per LED #fact 🤣

Does DCS take advantage of crossfire and if, are the load equal among the two cards?

DCS doesn't do that out of the box. But with a little tinkering, I got both my old GTX Titans running in SLI, and doubled my frames. So I guess Crossfire should be doable as well.
Cheers!

Same here with an upgrade.  The game just loads so much faster than before, so it more fun to get started than it used to be.  Seemed like I had to wait forever for the game to start.

Pretty much maxed the graphics too.

Have a GeForce 2080.

To my knowledge SLI/Crossfire require a lot good of support from games/drivers and all around as well as perhaps manual fine tuning to work out, and also will by design be susceptible to micro-sttuttering AFAIK so fundamentally not optimal for gaming.

Anyone with spare GPUs or just unlimited budget could still play with it but the industry realized for most gaming this isn't the way to go and so CSX/SLI is practically dead in this market segment.

In the latest generation, Nvidia removed SLI support outside enterprise compute GPUs anyway AFAIK, even the 3090 for the enthusiast segment doesn't have it.

Well, it works for me. Even in MSFS.

Hi!! Good to be able to read that you can do crossfire in DCS, I'm about to change to an Asus Motherboard similar to yours, maybe some B550Mk Prime to be able to do crossfire with two RX570, can you use DCS in its maximum quality configuration? Can you comment on how many FPS you have achieved? I will be very grateful if you can comment.
