Hey,

has anybody made the transition mentioned in the title? I am just curious about the travel distance of the NXT. On videos it seems to me kinda short and wanted your feedback on it guys. Is it comparable to the T16000M, shorter or longer?  I am gonna also use the joystick to fly helos so that's why I am asking.

Thanks

Hi Arikaj,

about 18 months ago I got back into flight sims using the T.16000 FCS Hotas and about 3 months ago I replaced the stick with the NXT.

Regarding your question about the travel distance difference between the T16000 and NXT, the NXT does have a shorter travel, about 10 mm in each direction from center. (Note this is an eyeball estimate)

My experience is that the shorter travel is not an issue, but I don't fly helos that much and I just recently bought the Huey, so I have never flown it using the T.16000 so I can't compare.

To sum it all up, the T.16000 is a fantastic piece of kit to start out with, but the NXT is just a league above when it comes to precicion and having quite a few hats and buttons at you fingertips is a big bonus. Combine the NXT with the TWCS throttle and decent rudder pedals, you really have to bring some hefty bundle of money to top that combo.

Fly safe, and may Wags be with you.
