Selected recipient is not a Supercarrier unit

Frustrated. Just started one of the Raven one missions in the middle of the tanker. When returning I just wanted to change to marshall so said "inbound" but it didn't reply. If I way "washington inbound" then it reply... but if I say "washinton see you at ten" then it won't reply and the voice attack will say "Selected recipient is not a Supercarrier unit"

Saying: "Washinton... Select" it selects the frequency of the George Washington and says TX1 com1: arc-210 cvn-73 George Washington" but as said it is not recognized so the only way to speak to him is via menu (but we bought Vaicom to speak with voice directly......

Any clues?

Just checking you have bought the realistic ATC extension licence for Vaicom and installed it?

What happens if you try Marking Moms rather than inbound as the first call?

Yes it is licenced and installed. I try to do the same I do to change to another airport. I say the name of the airport and the "select". The same I try to do it here, and it works changing to the frequency of the carrier. It does it correctly, but when I say "inbound" "Washington inbound" it says that the selected recipient is not a super carrier. Of course I have the supercarrier installed. I have done this in mission 3 of Raven One campaign.

I don't have the campaign so cannot look at the mission construct, but it is possible that there are several ships with the same frequency, hence using Marking Moms as it normally forces the carrier to be the one that responds

Instead of starting a new thread I figured I’d resurrect this one.  Updated DCS 2.7 to the new OB patch that came out today and now I’m getting the “Selected Recipient is not a Supercarrier” message in VA and none of the VCP carrier comms are transmitting to the supercarrier.

Did something break VCP with today’s update?  I’ve tried various pre-built and custom SC missions and just about all of the commands (‘marking moms”, ‘hornet ball”, “commencing”, etc)... using the onscreen menus work so they’re definitely SC’s

Im licensed for the Realistic ATC Comms plugin and it was working fine yesterday pre-update...

anyone else having issues using VCP and SC today?

I have just had a quick try with the Instant Action Case I mission on PG and it worked fine for me in the Hornet once I had remembered to tune the radio

Huh interesting thanks - never seen this issue before and VCP/VA appears to working fine otherwise... restart/reinstall/repair might be the ticket I suppose
