Hi All, a little help required..

 

when ever i say Take  2, to select a menu item , it reports back 

 

Unrecognized : 'take two' 

 

when i say take 10, it reports back Take 10

 

so i thought a ha  add an alias for Take 2, to include Take Two, which i  did  and it then reports back 

 

TX1 | SRS 1: [ Wingman 2 ] ,  [ Menu Item 2 ]   
Recognized : 'take two' (Confidence 79)

 

can someone help me , i tried training "take 2" and "take" and "2"

Know very little about SRS but it looks to me like the alias is getting recognized

 

Here is what I see if I say Take 2

 

TX2 | FuG165ZY: [   ] ,  [ Menu Item 2 ]  

 

and F2 gets executed

 

TX1 | SRS 1: [ Wingman 2 ] ,  [ Menu Item 2 ]   

 

So couple of things that I'm sure you've probably already checked, is Take 2 in both the Keyword Database and the Keywords in your VA Vaicom profile, perhaps update Keywords to be sure.

 

I notice SRS 1 is in your command, could it be possibly causing any sort of conflict?

 

I'm thinking that you're using both SRS and Vaicom on the same PTT?  Perhaps worth a try with SRS disabled and see what happens?

so adding an alias Select x ... seems to help for everything except 10, which it now recognises but not as a command...

 

so with 9 i get 

 

5:12:17.619 TX1 | SRS 1: [   ] ,  [ Menu Item 9 ]   
5:12:17.593 Recognized : 'select 9' (Confidence 73)

 

and with 10 i just get 

 

5:12:22.091 Recognized : 'select 10' (Confidence 96)

bizzarely it recognises take  10  but similar response, its almost if the command is missing ? how can i add it ?

I'm struggling to understand what you're doing when you say adding an alias, are you just adding in the Take X commands into the Keywords in the Vaicom under the Editor Tab?

 

I would either reload the Database or Reset the Keywords. II'm no expert but it appears that something is wrong there

 

If the command is being Recognized, normally that would indicate that the command is in your Keywords Collection in the Vaicom profile but maybe not in the Keywords in the Vaicom Database, if it's not in the database I don't think it will be recognized by Vaicom.

 

You can see if it's in there by going to the Vaicom Window L_CTL+L_ALT+c and opening the Editor Tab, then looking in the pull down menu that has all the Keywords in there should be a listing from Take 1 to Take 12

Yes exactly that.

 

I tried training take, and adding new words to the dictionary etc... no joy

 

but the alias works.

 

except for 10, i have the drop down list for 1 to 12, but no command fires.  can you try 10 ? Do you get a similar result?

So I just did as you asked and jumped into a module to check it out

 

For any Take X EXCEPT Take 10 in the VA command window I see this

 

TX6 | AUX: [   ] ,  [ Menu Item 5 ]   
Recognized : 'take 5' (Confidence 77)

 

For Take 10 I only see this

 

Recognized : 'take 10' (Confidence 90)

 

Just as you've reported, BUT in the module when I said Take 10 it appears that Vaicom did recognize it, as it executed the F10 command

 

Have you tried it  in a module (I only tested in SP in a simple mission to see if the Options in the On Screen menu were getting selected) although it's not showing in the VA window bizarrely it's getting executed in the game for me

No I was only trying it outside of dcs I will give it a go inside, thanks @Weegie, that you are getting very similar results is encouraging
