I find myself to (re-) use a lot of triggers to set up my missions or to provide features. And once my mission development skills increase and I find a new (better) way of doing things, I'd like to retroactively add this to my previously written missions. Currently, I have to re-create every single trigger in each mission from scratch (unless I start with a previously written mission and start deleting old stuff).

I'm looking for a way to transfer triggers from one mission to another. I'd like to propose two methods of doing this:

- big scope: export a trigger as xml with DCS being able to import an xml trigger -- this also allows us to easily exchange triggers here in the message boards. If you do that, please ensure to include some versioning within the xml to avoid nasty versioning conflicts 🙂

- small scope: allow us to ME-internally define a trigger template from an existing trigger similar to today's unit templates; they are stored within DCS ME and thus accessible from all missions that I open with ME.

Thanks,

-ch
