I have often wondered how "real" the Super Carrier's flight deck is when compared to RL operations.  I stumbled on this video today and figured I'd share here.  Now I understand much better what's going on during the process.  I'd say ED did a pretty good job.  Hopefully this helps someone else here too.

At least one noticeable difference from DCS:

 

After the holdback bar is installed, the aircraft is taxied forward until the launch bar is *on top* of the shuttle. Then once it's been armed, taxied forward again so the launch bar can be engaged.

 

Is the position in 3A to prevent FOD?
