TED Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I have also been through this. I ended up jumping from module to module and tried most of them. I started originally on A10c and got very competent on that. It’s just an awesome attack platform. However it’s lack or speed and performance got frustrating after a while for the scenarios and servers I enjoyed. After a few more modules I finally settled on the av8b harrier. I love this module now and have put in a lot of time learning it and honestly don’t get drawn in to the negative comments about bugs. There really aren’t any big show stoppers any more. It’s such a versatile and quirky design. The systems work well and it’s a challenge to learn. I enjoy ground attack more than air to air stuff, so this was ideal. It can carry stacks of weapons, ship borne ops and can defend itself in the air against an opponent if well flown. You can get into some really complex and interesting missions with the av8. As a pure ground attack it’s really hard to beat in dcs.
kotor633 Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 This is another typical question ... which I find difficult to answer. Since it is also very dependent on personal taste / preference. Personally, I'm familiarizing myself with the A-10C (Tank Killer). Because I think this module is an absolute must have. And has matured over the years. But that also explains the steep learning curve. And since I'm an absolute Mi-24 fan, of course the Hind. But what is also worthwhile in any case and would recommend to anyone without hesitation would be the FA-18C, Mig-21, F-14. This is also something that takes a long time and is a lot of fun. Finally, I would recommend the Mi-8 without hesitation. Also very well documented and mature. And the M2k. I think the development of the module so far is simply great. And arouses curiosity for more. This is all my personal reference. ************************************** DCS World needs the Panavia Tornado! Really! **************************************
