Moody1204 Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Hi everyone, I am playing with SAM units in ME and I wonder if there is a way to choose a specific launcher to fire first ? The idea behind is that I place a SA6 SR/TR and space the launcher around it (around 15nm, the spike on the RWR is not the direction of the threat). I would like to set the closest launcher to the bandit to fire first, unfortunatly, it is not the case. Any help appreciated ! Thanks.
Grimes Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Not really. Maybe setting unit emissions on/off could micro manage that, but I'm not 100% certain it will work. There might be different results with different types of sams, but I'd think if one launcher was significantly closer to a target compared to the others then it'd fire first. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Moody1204 Posted April 12, 2021 Author Posted April 12, 2021 Thanks for your reply. My testing confirm that it is not possible to have the closest launcher to fire first... I placed a SA-6 radar with launchers 20NM around (N, E, S and W) and attack from the 4 direction and the closest is not the first to engage. Don't know which are the parameters that count in the decision for a launcher to fire. Anyway thanks !
