Pilots Using Entertainment Sims as Training

Dear all,

 

In cooperation with a university in the UK, we are researching how common it is for military pilots to use entertainment flight simulations to provide useful training before, during and after they enter flight school. This can apply to any entertainment flight simulation, not just Lock On. This would be in a similar in vein to the now famous circumstance when a flight student used MS FS prior to flight school.
