Shadok Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Hello, after an "in-flight engine relight" how do I remove the "horizon secours" on the VTH ? Thank's https://forum.dcs.world/topic/341089-transparent-body-part/
Galinette Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Try either passing the INS in SEC mode or the aux ADI in forced mode (forward) but it’s likely that you can’t. If your ins gyro is down that message is there to force you looking at auxiliary horizon on the dash.
Shadok Posted May 11, 2021 Author Posted May 11, 2021 Nothing work. Cut off engine in flight is really something to avoid :) https://forum.dcs.world/topic/341089-transparent-body-part/
Shadok Posted May 11, 2021 Author Posted May 11, 2021 After some tests, the apparition of the "horizon secours" seems effective if the RPM value go near 0%. Apply the procedure before the RPM go near 10% seems OK for the ins gyro. Also, the "acceleration chevron" disappear if the "horizon secours" is engaged. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/341089-transparent-body-part/
Galinette Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 According to another thread, the INS has a backup battery which lasts for a short time. You are probably wanting to relight before it's empty.
Frederf Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Horizon secours indicates the airplane is using the backup attitude reference instead of the primary. The fix would be for the INS to be mid-air aligned and then the system automatically or manually be switched from secondary to primary attitude reference. I have no idea how to mid-air align the Mirage INS and even if you do if that will pull the reference back to primary (or how to do it if that switch is manual). This is completely separate from the standby ADI which is an independent instrument.
