flameoutme Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 (edited) I have an idea that has application both for post mission feedback as well as entertainment value. And the idea is this: when the mission is complete, the user may be optionally presented with a video. This could be accomplished by hard wired tie in from DCS, OR, by linking in post mission in the same way that DCS liberator (dynamic campaign manager) does it. This later method would require no changes to DCS itself (like DCS liberator doesn't). What can be done if the option to showed a post mission video were allowed? Well, campaign (and mission) builders who wanted to go all out could create video cut scenes. Many, many, many games employ this. (My heart is still in Wing Commander III and IV...). Secondly, sophisticated post mission vids focusing on what happened in the mission could be triggered, e.g,: "You were shot down by an Aphid. Want to watch a video on how to reduce your chances of getting creamed next time?" What do you think? Again, just to emphasize, it would be nice if this was an option in DCS, just like the option to show an image is now possible. HOWEVER, one could by-pass DCS entirely if there was a program like DCS liberator to read the mission file and react. Edited May 17, 2021 by flameoutme
AvgeekJoe Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 But a) You can already save a track and have the scenario replay. One can record that using the X-Box Game Bar in Windows 10. b) There's TACVIEW.
