Speedbirdh Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Hello all I have just got a nice new 20" widescreen lcd running 1680*1050 resolution. But when I play lockon the picture is a bit squashed. I have tried changing the resolution but it makes no difference. Any ideas??? :(
Kuky Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 This can help you: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=305855#post305855 Basically you need to open Graphics.cfg file and set your aspect ratio to 1.6 ... more details in that thread PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Speedbirdh Posted October 16, 2008 Author Posted October 16, 2008 Many thanks for the quick reply. Will give it a try Cheers H:)
Pilotasso Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Theres a LUA file that you should tweak as well. I dont remenber wich one is (Im not at home now) but it allows setting view angle in each planes cockpit. I needed to icnrease about 20º for everything to look properly. The ratio in graphics.cfg I have set is 1.7 wich actualy looks better than 1.6 (wich you obtain by deviding 1680/1050). .
Case Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I think Pilotasso is referring to the config/view/snapview.lua file. See http://www.169thpanthers.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=61 1 There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Speedbirdh Posted October 16, 2008 Author Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks everyone all sorted:):) Didnt find the file to set lockon onto the 2nd core though, but it might be a bit advanced for my limited computer skills:)
Kuky Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks everyone all sorted:):) Didnt find the file to set lockon onto the 2nd core though, but it might be a bit advanced for my limited computer skills:) I actually stopped using the procaff.exe and find I no longer need it... I think with latest Intel cpu's lockon no longer has stuttering issue (I think this was with older P4 CPU's with HyperThreading) so if your game runs fine just ignore this part PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
