Suggestion for a variant of the D model, namely the UK version. This version has different engines (Rolls-Royce Turbomeca RTM322 01/12), HIDAS, rockets (CRV7), Apache Arrowhead and the Integrated Ammunition and Fuel unit, as well as radios and such. A slightly different version with interesting differences.

I'm not against it but..

The problem is that it wouldn't add a whole lot of different capabilities to be worth it.

First, you need engine performance data for the new engines, hover charts, cruise charts, etc.

There is not enough info to properly model the HIDAS system.

I would really like the CRV7 rockets.

The US version is technically capable and has fuse selections for the CRVs, it's just that they don't use/have them.

The arrowhead system is mostly the MTADS/MPNVS, which our aircraft is going to get.

I believe the integrated ammunition and fuel unit is something similar to the robbie tanks (100 gal Internal auxiliary fuel system that also has 242 rounds on the box, plus some extra 58 rounds on the AHS), our apache is going to get those too.

Regarding the radios, getting the info on those is also going to be difficult, we already have the info for US blk 2.

I don't know if it's worth the effort.

Case in point, the F-14. How different is the F-14A-135-GR from the F-14B? Does it have different capabilities? Apart from different engines, not really. But it's in anyways.

The difference being in the F-14A and B's case, they were both in US service, both made by the same manufacturer, and both with available documentation to Heatblur for creation. The latter is the most critical aspect for module development.

Further, the UK Apache is not a retrofitted US Apache export. It's a license-built aircraft in the UK, although I imagine most of the components are supplied via the same sub-contractors. The UK MoD is a lot more stringent with access to technical data than the US DoD, which would probably preclude the proper development of any key differences in the avionics and/or hardware.  I'm all for more Apache variants, but the availability of the required information to develop a DCS module drives a lot of decisions for ED and other 3rd party devs.

Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.

Don’t you want to wait a few years until the first version is 80% done before asking for other stuff until even a small EA phase has started?

Best time to ask is at the start, these things take time to make

Definitely would be a nice upgrade with the more powerful RR engines (2,270 vs 1,890 HP,  times two that's a good 760 HP extra), and the longer ranged and much more accurate CRV-7 rockets.
