stelios2000 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 what the title says.... i am about to buy the card that control the servos from the instruments but to work it needs data from the game. Also i have bought two key encoder card that supports 128 switches(x2=256). I am asking cause the first card costs about 350Euros... pretty expensive for me.... but if the game has data export then i will buy it. Also i need HQ photos of the cockpit so i will have to begin now building it and when it will be released the English version i will be ready. thanks in advance Stelios from GREECE
stelios2000 Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 LOFC supports data exports for the instruments? i didnt know this.... are you sure ????
Swetrekki Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Bump, can anyone else confirm this? does the LOFC scripting language make it possible to drive instruments/lights? // Trekki
Swetrekki Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 (edited) well since i started looking into it, it seems that opencockpit that uses SIOC can be used with Lua, a french fellow, has created a software to make it easier to configure. (losioc)http://charles.contact.free.fr/ the site is in french so that is causing me a great deal of problem since i only know 5 words in french... but anyway it exists so i guess that is a confirmed YES :) Edited October 28, 2008 by Swetrekki
Acedy Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 (edited) since i only know 5 words in french... "Voulez vous..." ;) Seriously, I don't know what exporting features the final version will have, but there are some indications: 1. The "Lua exporting in DCS" tutorial here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=567&scr=default&lang=en The bottom part of it has been updated about a year ago, but it is likely to change again, see: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=412207&postcount=2 The tutorial lists a lot of information that you can export from the Sim. 2. The "Physical Cockpit Interface Package" that will be availabe for pit builders: Physical Cockpit Interface Package (PCIP). This package provides support to cockpit builders and allows them to more efficiently, and with great depth of capability, to port systems simulated in software to their physical cockpits. This includes support to various projection systems. PCIP will be made available to all after the release of DCS: Black Shark. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31052 Hope that helps. :) Edited October 28, 2008 by Acedy [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *** SERVMAN SERVER MANAGEMENT MOD V2 FOR DCS:BS V1.0.1 *** *** VERSION FOR FC2 ***
