Bobstar Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Dear all, Harrier newby question. I have recently downloaded the Harrier for 14 days with a veiw to buying but, when I engage the AFC the aircraft starts to dive uncontrollably. I have no caution lights on the CWP so I'm guessing nothing is set in a wrong position or off? It did work correctly for a short time but, not now! Please tell me I'm not going to have to fly it manually all the time? Read Chucks guide and watched various you tube vid's but can't figure out any particular reason why it should do this? Any info gratefully received!
Wisky Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 sudden movement once you activate AFC is normally your joystick having a too small deadzone.
Bobstar Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 Thanks mate, I don't think it's that but, I'll set it up again to make sure. Thanks for the reply.
Kappa Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 (edited) It could be false inputs due undervoltage... Had that problem with a Logitech X-56... Resolved it by using a powered usb hub Edited July 6, 2021 by Kappa -- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 36° Stormo Virtuale - Italian Virtual Flight Community www.36stormovirtuale.net
Bobstar Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 Reset my axis tune and it seems to be cured.Nice one!
Fri13 Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 IMHO Razbam should enable a special setting for the players who have springless joystick, or jittery pot or something. Being a such that no matter what is the real joystick position or situation, the AFC would get enabled when in the proper parameters for level flight etc. Then have a artificial deadzone around the current joystick position, like 10% that is to maintain the AFC until joystick is moved outside of it. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
