Gunfreak Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 I just got the Warthog pedals today. And it's physically impossible for me to take off from the super carrier, the trun radius is to low. I followed a video that set the deadzone to 5.5 in the warthog softwhare and curves at 25. No way can I swing into any of the catapluts from where I'm parked. I tried to lower the curves to 20, didn't have any effect. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
GPatricks Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 I didn't know TM even made Warthog Pedals.. are you talking about TPR pedals? Do you see full travel in the DCS Axis tune screen for your plane (assume F18)? Gunfreak Posted July 8, 2021 Author Posted July 8, 2021 (edited) Sorry, Thrustmaster ofcourse, for me those two are synonims for some reason. It does seem like that yes. I checked, and yes, I get full travle on axis tune. Edited July 8, 2021 by Gunfreak i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
GPatricks Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 I'm guessing as I don't fly the F18 but can you use the brake on the side you are trying to turn towards to accentuate the turn, as we do with other planes with individual brakes? Basically it pivots around the braking wheel. rob10 Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Is your HUD showing "NWS HI"? Sounds like you're not in HI GAIN mode steering if you can't get a sharp turn. Default is pinky switch to toggle this on/off (IF your wings are unlocked AND you don't have launch bar down). If you do have it on, is the plane going straight or are you getting smooth but not tight turn? If it's going straight, slow down before you try to turn or don't turn so hard so quickly (you're just skidding on the front wheel in this case).

It just threw me as last time I had no problems turning when I used joystick rudder. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
