Ed-B Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Hi All I'm still having major issues with my Thrustmaster T.Flight Flight Rudder Pedals and the Spitfire IX bindings. The rudder pedals themselves bound nicley but I cannot for the life of me get the toe brake(s) to bind. I have upgraded to 2.7.2 and am trying to bind the brake(s) so that I can manoeuvre the aircraft when I am taxiing. I select Options from the main screen, select the Spitfire then search on 'Brake'. This brings up three options. Wheel Brakes, Wheel Brake Decrease and When Brake Increase. I select 'Wheel Brakes' then click on the box in the T-Rudder column. This brings up the Wheel Brake assignment panel and I click on 'Key / Button'. The system is waiting for me to bind the control but when I kick down on the rudder pedal / pedals , the system just doesn't budge. It's as if it doesn't recognise the brake movement option on the rudder pedal. I have been doing a lot of research on this and have removed the original windows 10 setup for the Thrustmaster pedals and then calibrated them using Thustmasters own Calibration tool. The calibration tool shows that all rudder functions are working perfectly so I assume that this has to be a DCS Spitfire IX issue. Do any members of this forum use the Spotfire IX with Thrustmaster T.Flight pedals and, if so, have you managed to bind the brakes properly. I'm pulling my hair out on this one and just can't seem to sort it out. Any help would be really gratefully received. Many thanks Ed

Look for wheelbrake. As of now you're trying to configure your toebrake as a button, which it is not. And course you know the Spit didn't have toebrakes, right? I tried to do the same but it felt very awkward. So now I just use the throttle axis on my trusty old FFB2.Hope this helps!Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Ed-B Posted July 13, 2021 Author Posted July 13, 2021 Hi Max Thank you so much for your reply. I've just tried it and it works perfectly. Brilliant. And now that I've tried the brakes on the pedals I'm going to follow your advice and assign the brake to a joystick button. Now all I have to do is take off. I'm on my 18th attempt and even with the wheel brake working properly, I just seem to veer off the runway and crash as soon as I throttle up ! I'm going to check and see if there are any advisories on YouTube. All the best and many, many thanks. You have saved me hours of research and I probably still wouldn't have found this fix. Ed 1
