fred_123 Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Hi! i've done the mission 1 several times and did the tasks OK, only failed the 30sec bomb task done after wingman 1-1. When i get to the debreaf, i click end mission and i just get back to the main menu ?? Is there a bug og is there any other way to continue campain ?

There has been a DCS bug in the past not allowing campaign progression, but as far as I'm aware that's not an issue anymore. First let's make sure we've addressed everything in our control to make sure the mission is completed correctly. After the final bomb task on the range Gunman 1-1 should tell you to return to Al Dhafra, head back to base, once within range you will be prompted to contact the tower using the F10 menu (radio must be set correctly). If you fail to get clearance to land or fail to get proper clearance at the start ofvthe mission you will fail. It should be obvious if this happens as there will be a message informing you. The mission will be completed successfully when back on the ground at Al Dhafra and below a certain speed (can't remember what exactly), a message will appear telling you mission complete, don't exit until you get this message. If you're doing all this and still no joy then it will be a DCS issue, I'll help you raise if need be.

I also get confirmation that i can head back to base, there i also use the F10 option to get clearanse and i also get the mission sucessful when i have landed.. So no joy anyway... As i said iv'e done this multiple times now. I use dcs beta 2.7.4. But do i have to have all 3 taks sucessful ??

As long as you got the mission complete message on landing that will be fine, you can fail all the tasks and proceed. The bug that was causing issues a few months ago wouldn't let you proceed past the mission debrief screen, but you're saying you get sent back to the main menu? Apologies if this is a little patronising but let's cover all possibilities...are you loading the actual campaign or loading individual missions (sounds like single mission behaviour) AIso assume you're on the very latest update? Finally check your DCS install location, make sure under mods>campaigns>A10C Persian Freedom you have all the campaign files installed, there should be 32 missions with the file name xxxFINAL and a .cmp file. If you're missing any I'd suggest reinstalling the campaign. Hope that helps if not we'll try and think of something else.
