T16000 pedals - can't apply curves

I just got these pedals, and they work in DCS, in the assignment window the white line is moving with my input, but if I click 'axis tune', there the square doesn't move and whatever curves and deadzones I set it won't apply in game. Has anyone seen this before?

After a repair, driver refresh, and a calibration I got it to work, but sometimes when I open the controls menu the black square wouldn't move and theaxis would be ignored. It seems random.

 

Also, when I press the toebrake pedals, at the slightest of input it jumps to 50% value and moves from there. So I can't apply less than 50% brakes. Weird stuff. I tried to change it to slider, no avail.

 

It seems that it's either/or. Either the curves are not working but the toebrakes work, or the other way around. Randomly.

Update: it works now. No idea what happened. I hope the issue won't come back.

It's odd, I also have that issue - will try your fix - I can also not invert the axis
