Vive pro2 set up help please

So just setting up my vive pro2 and having some issues - I have got to the room set up bit and as I am only using it for flight sims, did not get controllers, as it was said here you did not need to get any for this scenario (seated only flight sim)

 

problem is I cannot get to the next stage as it’s looking for controllers………any tips please?thanks

As far as I'm aware, the Vive Pro 2 requires a controller for initial setup.

IIRC, you can skip pairing the controllers.

OK, so is there a definitive on this ? Further digging around has not come up with anything. I would also be interested in any Pro2 and DCS specific set up tips and information?

You can do the setup with the button on the headset, I often start up and fly without the controllers. (But bought two Knuckles because I do roomscale as well).

Thanks, can you elaborate a little, what button on the headset? How many base station do you use? Again, I read for seated flight sims, you can use one, which I have. This does not seem to be a proble in the set up so far...

I have two base stations, but have flown with just one turned on.

There's a button on the left side of the headset, right next to the status LED. That will let you click through Steam VR menus, or enable passthrough if enabled in SteamVR.

Thanks, I have it working now, got a controller and managed some test flights, seems fine with one base station. Result!
